LEARNING TO PULL BACK :/

So a few weeks back I started really getting my double unders down! Whoot whoot!
Ya well silly me decided that I should go from doing like none a day to 200!  BAD IDEA!
What happened you ask.....Achilles Tendonitis!
I had this pretty bad my senior year in college and I was in a boot for almost 6 weeks and it was painful!!!  I knew very well the feeling that was coming on after days of so much jumping!  It was a pain I knew that I wanted to put a halt to before it got any worse!  So.... no running, no jumping, no double unders! :(
I can gladly say that I avoided making it any worse and after weeks of being glued to land I think its gone!
Whats my moral of this story....listen to your body and put on the restraints when you need!  A little time off could save you from having to take a lot of time off!  It can be hard to do (believe me almost everyday I would just jump to test it :/ ) but sometimes its the best thing you can do for yourself!
This can pertain to anything though not just exercise!  Think of something that you do all of the time even if it is for fun and it just starts to seem like a chore....maybe its time to pull back just a little, regroup and rest so when your ready to return your stronger (or more excited) than ever!  Your ready to put your everything back into it and enjoy whatever it is again!  Again, a little break is worth not struggling through for weeks!
Now I don't mean take a break from things all the time but realize when you need a reset!  Listen to your body and how you feel, its worth it in the long run!!
