So a few weeks ago I got this idea that I was going to take the guesswork out of my own workouts for a week and do a pretty well rounded workout everyday.  The same workout…….everyday.
I thought that this might be a good way to see some improvement or to see how much I could improve in a week at least!
I decided that I was going to do pull ups, push ups, roll outs, hanging leg raises, double unders and some running.
Well the first few days went awesome!  As I usually have to plan all of my clients workouts plus mine it was nice to know what I was going to do no thought involved!  I see why people like having a trainer!

What a week!  First a super special card from one of my clients thanking me for helping her with her balance!  She is able to walk around for periods of time without her cane!  She is 90!  Goes to show that age doesn’t matter it is your mindset!

Another of my clients has had a breakthrough as well and hers is a bit different!  This woman lost her teenage daughter almost 10 years ago to suicide.  Since that day she has been dealing and feeling the intense pain that only those who have been through it can understand!  It has been years of grief, sadness and struggle.  I was astounded when she told me that even immediately after this happened she made the decision that she was not going to let this define or hold her back.  She can be sad but her life has to go on!  WOW.

So a few weeks back I started really getting my double unders down! Whoot whoot!
Ya well silly me decided that I should go from doing like none a day to 200!  BAD IDEA!
What happened you ask.....Achilles Tendonitis!

So I recently got back into running.   ( I use the term “running” lightly fyi.  4 miles is a long run!!)  I don’t necessarily enjoy running but I do feel great after I finish.  For me, it seems to be how I can see results but again I don’t absolutely love it!  I run because honestly if I don’t I fear that someday I just won’t be able too.  Same with jumping...I do box jumps because I just don’t ever want to wake up and not be able to do them!

So today I woke up tired and unmotivated.  I hadn't slept very well.  I had a bit of a stomach ache all night and just couldn’t get comfortable!  Getting up was not fun.  In the second or two that I laid in bed dreading getting up I thought, you know what….just get up.

That is all.

Take it step by step today and it will all work out.
